Quantum Savvy Student of the Month Interview - Feb 2008 Vicki MarrArea: Glenormiston Nth, VictoriaGlenormiston Nth, Victoria Horse: Max, 9yo QH (with spots !) Level Achieved: Level 1, working on Level 2. Goals:To be develop true rapport with Max so that we can go anywhere, do anything, and to be able to share the knowledge that I have gained with others. Horsie background:I don’t know where my love of horses came from, but I have always loved them. My grandfather used to tell me stories of how he would visit the Police Barracks in St Kilda Rd (Melbourne) and watch the mounted police when he was just a boy and I dreamed of being a Victoria’s first mounted policewoman! Even though my grandfather never had a horse, let alone rode, he encouraged my interest by sending me on holidays to stay with friends in Tasmania who bred Arabs and I could get my “horsey” fix. My first horse was a lovely part Arab mare from the stud but unfortunately due to a tragic accident, we didn’t have very much time together.

With Bobby Level 2. Goals:To be the best that we can be and to be inspirational to others just by doing. Horsie background:Late starter. Did not have a horse until the good age of 30 and chose this as something to do with my then young children. Knew absolutely nothing about them only that they were magnificent and that I wanted to be a part of their world. Quantum Savvy Student of the Month Interview- Oct 2007
Martin Edie Area: Beaudesert QLD to Mandurah WA and back again Horse: Grey Arab gelding called Pocco. Level Achieved: One. Plus a few L2 cards too! Goals:I want to work through the programme to level 4 (and perhaps beyond) and apply what I have learnt to the equine competition world and hopefully inspire by example. Life goals - To help people find their way in life. Sometimes we get so caught up in life that we don’t appreciate the simple and beautiful things which are right there before us. Horsie background:I started pleasure riding at age 17. In my early 20's progressed to endurance riding. In my mid twenties I started competing in dressage until my early 30's. I had a break from horses for about 5 years, although my wife was still riding so we still had horses in the paddocks. While we were working in Western Australia my wife arranged a clinic with Shane and Meredith. For those of you who have had the chance to attend one of Shane and Meredith's clinics you know that you can't help but to get involved. After watching my wife play with Quantum Savvy at home for a year, it took a clinic to get me absolutely hooked.

Quantum Savvy Student of the Month Interview- Aug 2007 Tanya Jacobs Area: Lake Clifton WA Horse: AT (Best Buddy) and Bandido Level Achieved: Level 1 with AT Goals:To achieve Level 3 and then at that stage set other goals. Also to bring my yearling up through the levels and to compete in Eventing with him (and do well) which I hope will inspire other people to gain a beautiful partnership with their horses. I would also like to help people with their horsemanship journeys because I feel there are many horses out there who are not getting a good deal from their owners. I hope to be a GO sometime next year. Life goals - To help people find their way in life. Sometimes we get so caught up in life that we don’t appreciate the simple and beautiful things which are right there before us. Horsie background:I was taught to ride at the age of 10 by my Aunty and her partner (he was named one of the best horse breakers on the stations when he was alive). I can remember them yelling at me to ‘stop bouncing around like a sack of potatoes’. I had my first horse when I was 11 (standardbred)and he was so reliable and I could do anything with him.
Quantum Savvy Student of the Month Interview- July 2007Di Simpson Group - Alpha Circle Practice Group Area: Hervey Bay. Queensland Australia. Horse: Zana Level Achieved: Level 1 twice, with Zana and Sassafras Goals:To enjoy a safe, fair, respectful and beautiful bond with my horses. To bring my horses through level 1 and onto level 2 of QS and as far as it takes us. Horsie background:Actually, I didn’t have a horsie background. I only started hanging out with horses about 11years ago after being introduced by a friend. I can remember going on a couple of childhood trail rides that was pretty frightening at the time. So it wasn’t until I was nearly 40 that I brought myself a horse and my journey with these beautiful animals began. Why you started Quantum SavvyI started with QS as I felt it offered the complete tuition; nothing missing. And filled a lot of gaps that I found was lacking in other programs. QS has a great support system to fall back on when ever needed.
