Worlds Biggest Play Day!

Reporter: Denise Niit visits the Stickers Practice Group from the Gold Coast of Australia. 1 Looking back a year ago, I was only just looking in to joining Quantum Savvy and was asked to attend the WBPD which was themed a day at the beach. My confidence level at the point was zero so the fear of the unknown held me back from attending and I am sure I missed an absolutely wonderful day. Now one year on and working on level 1 had given me the confidence to attend this years play day with the Stickers Practice Group. This year was themed “A Day at the Races”. The world biggest play day is about getting as many members, basic members, auditors all together on one day to unite in strength and show how Quantum Savvy is growing and just how far all of us have come. I attended the day at the RDA at Arundel that was organised by Belinda Bass the Stickers Group Organizer. On arrival we had a parade of riders and leaders to pick the best dressed and everyone had put in some imagination in to their outfit. Next we had some races with imagination and then we all tried the obstacle course that showed the skills we were all learning through our levels. Some were level 1 and some level 2 but it didn’t matter where you were at with your skills because the enthusiasm and encouragement from the rest of the group helped everyone through the course.

After all this the group were all very hungry and thirsty and of course our horses were all looking like they needed a rest, so we sat down to a lovely lunch of chicken and salad and champagne. The group sat and chatted over lunch, sharing what we had been up to with our practise days, clinics etc and just about how we were all enjoying learning more from our horses. After lunch a group set off on a lovely relaxing trail ride. Was the day a success? You bet it was…………. All around the Quantum World near and far at the same time as our group other QS Practice Groups (horse lovers) were joining in on their own programme based around the same theme. Knowing that all the other groups were out there doing the same as us made us feel connected to our fellow horse lovers.  So is the WBPD worth attending? All we can say is just don’t hesitate come along to one next year and be part of the ever-growing strength and fun that is Quantum Savvy. Why would you miss the next one??????????
