Wow.....Buronga Practice Group is heading into its third year! I have been the G.O for the past year taking over from the Amanda who was the previous years G.O. Buronga is situated on the NSW/VIC border just across the river from Mildura.
Our Practise Group has had the pleasure of hosting many lesson weekends with Mel Peacock as well as an RFT Clinic with Shane and Meredith. To top it off our Buronga group is really excited to be hosting another RFT Clinic in January 2008 and later in the year a Building Rapport Clinic organised by the Ellerslie play group.

Our Practise Group has had the pleasure of hosting many lesson weekends with Mel Peacock as well as an RFT Clinic with Shane and Meredith. To top it off our Buronga group is really excited to be hosting another RFT Clinic in January 2008 and later in the year a Building Rapport Clinic organised by the Ellerslie play group.
We meet once a month, usually on a Sunday so we can start early and beat the summer heat! Ellerslie Practice Group is situated very close to us, so we endeavour to make our play days 2 weeks apart from each other, that way we can enjoy the best of both worlds by visiting with each other! An important component of our plays days is the B.B.Q lunch which has become quite a tradition. Everybody brings meat and a salad to share, it gets the conversation flowing and fills up the hungry bellys from all the playing that has been going on.Our group consists of mostly level one students, (some very close to passing), myself who has just started Level 2 yay, and is continually growing. We like to hold our play days in lots of different locations. It’s great to take your horse out somewhere different. We have challenge days where we do assignments, as well as fun days. I love to challenge our group and love the challenge of coming up with new things to do.
Biggest Play Day in March 07. We had a fancy dress party! Everybody turned up in costume, horses included, it was a blast. We also had set up a playground with jumps, tarps to walk over, a water hole to walk through and we played some party games like pass the parcel.
In the coming year I have lots of interesting ideas for our group. Last year we had a very successful camp over on the river at “Bonnie Doon”, owned by Helen Dakis. This year we might have a “Summer Send Off” camp-out to celebrate surviving another hot Australian summer. Also I hope to organise some trail walks / rides and other fun things to do.
All of our members come from different stages and disciplins of riding. Its great to see them all working together and supporting each other as they work towards their combined goal of horsemanship. We’ve had alot of fun together over the years and I look forward to much more to come in the years to follow.We are very proud of our fabulous Practice Groups at Quantum Savvy. They have such a huge desire for learning to become better communicators with their horses and helping further that learning in a group setting with other people and their horses. Each month, one practice group is interviewed and featured on the website.
